Who are the Årsta Swans?
Årsta Swans became the fourth team to join the Stockholm Australian Football League in 2009. The team is a mix of Swedish, Australian and other nationalities. Its a social league with a BBQ after most games.
Årsta Swans is also one of the four teams that are, together with Bromma, Solna, and Norrtälje, contributing players to the team Stockholm Dynamite. Stockholm Dynamite is one of the four teams playing in the national league: AFL Elitserien.
Why play Aussie Rules in Stockholm?
We welcome any and all interest, whether to play, train or watch. The league has something to offer everyone, from those that enjoy a kick around the park and to keep fit, complete beginners that are intrigued by the sport, players who have played other sports, like handball, football (soccer), hockey, rugby or other team sports, or even an experienced Aussie Rules player.

Where do we play?
We play our home games at the JCG, in Skarpnäck. The field is one of the first proper ovals in Stockholm and we share it as our home ground together with Södermalm AFC. The field is a short walk from the nearest metro station (Skarpnäck).
Where do we train?
We usually hold our trainings at our old home ground at Årstafältet. The ground’s a 5 minute walk from the nearest Tvärbana (tram) stop at Valla Torg. If you’re coming from Gullmarsplan, get off at the back end of the tvärbana, go under the tracks and walk straight ahead. Cross the road and continue straight ahead another 500m until you reach the parklands. Check the map below for the rough location of the training and match-day fields.
